GROW. MAGNIFY. SEND.
MISSION STATEMENT

"GROWING together to MAGNIFY the light of the kingdom to SEND to the world."

GROW

Accountability

Living with other people similar in age and faith will push everyone to be the best they can be.

You can put on a “mask” on Sunday, but when you are living everyday with other believers, it is harder for things to hide in the shadows.  This applies to everything in our lives from sexual sins through sex outside of marriage and pornography to rebellion and pride in not seeking the Lord daily or not respecting the authority within each house.

Community

Being a part of a community is crucial to our walk within the body of Christ, so what better way to do that than to purposely live with other believers?

Our goal isn’t to just have individual houses either, but we want to create a community of young adults that come together and push each other to grow closer to Jesus as well as encourage each other to seek Him in every moment.

Engagement

Living in community creates an opportunity for young adults to be engaged with the Holy Spirit with 2 or more on more than just Sunday.

The majority of the time, there will be multiple believers in each house throughout the day which will allow for fellowship, lifting up, encouragement, and prayer for anything at any time.

Discipleship

Discipleship

There are two parts to discipleship.  One is being a disciple and the other is making disciples.  Both of these happen inside and outside of each house.

  1. Within each house, every member will be both.  The newest housemates will lean towards being discipled by the other housemates, and as they grow and stay longer, each housemate will grow into a disciple maker role.  Each house has a small group time, and it will be especially through this time that they will have the opportunity to do ministry together.

  2. Outside of each house, each member will still attend his/her approved home church every Sunday, and they are encouraged to do community outreach events as a house.  Each housemate is required to do at least 2 outreach event per year.

MAGNIFY

What We Do

We strive to serve with the love and mercy of the Lord as a community within our community! We do this through:
  • Homeless Ministry Outreach
  • Small Local Missions Trip
  • Community Service Projects

To make these events possible, we partner with local organizations and churches within our community
and encourage participation from our discipleship
housing members.

MAGNIFY THE LORD

O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.

Psalm 34:3

Testimonies

"We served the homless community in Fort Worth.  We gave out food, medical service, and clothing.  I learned that there are people in need closer to me than I realize."
-Joe R.

"Serve the City was a great opportunity to connect with kids in my community that don't have as much as I do.  It was one of the first opportunities that changed my perspective in life!"

SEND

Testimonies

"Turkey was a great chance to view another culture and religion in great depth.  We made many close friends and bonds to last a lifetime"
-Rebekka M.
"In Mexico, our team handed out shoes, food, and toys. Although there was a language barrier, between our gifts and their smiles, there was nothing that couldn't be interpreted."
-Sam F.

SEND TO THE WORLD

Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 28:19

What We Do

Our goal is to see everyone within our discipleship housing program go our into the world.  Serving in the community is great, but nothing will impact a person like the beauty of experiencing another culture! We have gone to many countries such as:
  • Turkey
  • Africa
  • Mexico
  • Japan

To make these events possible, we partner with local churches to organize and send teams out.
Bringing the light of Jesus into the nations.

Program Leaders

We are a Christian based discipleship housing program started in 2019, and our model is based off of the Cornerstone College Disciple Housing program that is associated with Grace Community Church.  Our goal is to promote discipleship within our community of young adult believers.  Our founders are Kendell Liden and Timothy Liden, both of whom have been and still are actively involved within other areas of ministry as well.
Kendell Liden was originally the Associate Director of Youth at Grace Community Church before pursuing real estate.  He still runs the Junior High program at Grace Community Church in a volunteer position.  His heart behind the discipleship housing ministry is to meet the need of affordable housing while also opening the opportunity for fellowship and discipleship within everyday living.

He saw that so many young adults were trying to pursue the Lord while living in broken homes and environments that didn’t promote a strong faith in our Lord and Savior.  His mission is to provide a place where young adult Christians can seek refuge in Him within their living space while being surrounded by people they can trust.
Timothy Liden is the Chief Counselor at I Am Redeemed Ministries.  He also volunteers his time at Rush Creek Church as a Case Manager and Instructor.  His role there is to visit with and counsel individuals from the local community who need to improve various areas of their life.  He focuses on life skills and spiritual growth. Finally, Timothy teaches a Behavior Change program at the Bridgeport and Venus prisons every week.  His heart behind the discipleship housing program is to use the power of multiplication to create disciples around the world.

He has encountered many Young adults looking for volunteer opportunities and mentors to pour into their lives.  Sometimes finding the right opportunities and the individuals to serve alongside can be a challenge.  Timothy strives to present every opportunity to make serving with Christian brothers and sisters easier and more enjoyable within the surrounding community.

House Leaders

Our house leaders are previous housemates who have showed an extraordinary devotion to following Jesus as their Lord and Savior, they have stepped up to be a humble leader within their discipleship homes to further His kingdom where needed, and they are trustworthy to uphold what is right in all situations no matter how hard the call they have to make is.
Julian George: "My testimony begins with how He won me over with His love, I had walked away from Him to win the love of the world, but grew weary, weak and felt empty after I wasted all that was given to me spending all on the things of the world. Then I realized how much He loves me and returned to Him. He saw me return home, came running to me with open arms carrying forgiveness. I now know He is my Father and I’m His son, a new creation in Him. I am now sold in the quest of helping all find their way to our Father’s love.

I live in a Discipleship home to run away from youthful passions and to run towards righteousness, faith, charity, peace, along with all brothers who call on the Lord out of a pure heart living in the Discipleship house with me.

If you are looking for a place where you can have a lot of fun, develop life long friendships and most importantly grow in love and in knowledge of Christ Jesus, this program is so for you!"
Jocie Morgan: "Throughout my life, I have been fortunate to see God's faithfulness through the example of my parents and extended family. But it wasn't until my high school years when I realized that faith in Jesus wasn't something you claimed because it was "what you did", but that a relationship with Jesus, trust in God, and a desire for the Holy Spirit could actually transform my life. After hearing the stories of others and experiencing God's love for myself, a hunger to know God and have a relationship with Him was sparked inside my heart. I'm glad to say that hunger has only grown over time and has deepened my faith as I have seen His faithfulness over and over again.

Doing life with other people has been a huge catalyst for my own personal growth, and has also introduced me to the beauty and challenges of intimate friendship. Life in the discipleship houses continues to push me towards my goals, keeps me accountable in how I use my time, and reminds me that the only way I can grow is by opening myself up to other people in small, and then larger, ways. This is the only way I want to live my life! I'm so grateful to have learned this kind of life is possible by living in this community.

We all feel this pull to live a life that is "worth something" — our Millennial generation especially! Rather than continuing to condemn ourselves for not having the perfect job, spotless image, or a clear purpose for our lives, why don't we find purpose in the mundane moments of our daily lives? I would recommend anyone join this program who is wanting to grow in their relationship with the Lord and wants to discover how doing life together can change the communities we are immersed in. Life isn't easy, but we can continue to learn and grow when we are doing it together!

24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Hebrews 10:24-25

Our Beliefs and Values

BIBLE

We believe that both the scriptures of the Old Testament and New Testament are inspired by God and are both still equally as important to knowing Him as the other.  There is no error or mistake within this divine word, and this word must be the foundation not only of our faith, but also our lives overall.

GOD

  • We believe there is one God with three persons.  This is accomplished through the Holy Trinity consisting of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, each being separate of each other but living in perfect communion together to bring about one mission.
  • We believe that God the Father is perfect in all glory, power, and strength.  He is a judge of man and is involved in the process of our everyday lives, He hears and answers prayer, and He sent his only Son, Jesus Christ, to live a sinless life and die on the cross to cover our sin.
  • We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, He is the Word, and the only way to heaven is through Him.  He is God’s only son, conceived of a virgin through the power of the Holy Spirit, and He lived a sinless life while showing God’s power through miracle and forgiveness of sins here on Earth.  He ultimately dies for our total forgiveness of our sins through His blood by dying on a cross and rising from the dead, defeating sin and death forever.  We also believe that He ascended into heaven after His resurrection, and He will return to Earth one day to bring the full kingdom of God to Earth.
  • We believe the Holy Spirit is the helper sent to us by the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgement, and to impart the power and wisdom of God to man through grace for ministry to all who believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  The Holy Spirit resides within every believe and comes upon them after repentance and baptism into the Holy Spirit.  We also believe in the current gifts of the Holy Spirit working within the body of Christ for His purposes.

SIN

We believe that man is inherently sinful since the fall at the Garden of Eden.  Because of this sin, we are sentenced to strict and righteous judgement from God the Father.  The only way to be spared of this judgement is to repent of our sins, confess Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, and be baptized in water to join in His death and rise in new life covered by His blood and the atonement of our sins.

CHURCH

We believe the true church isn’t a building, but the spiritual body of Christ.  Jesus is the head, authority, and groom of the church, and the church is called to submit to his authority as His bride.

COMMUNION & BAPTISM

Communion and Baptism are two practices that we follow in obedience and remembrance of what He did for us.  Communion is done in remembrance of His death on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins.  We do this often to continually remind ourselves of our full dependence on His death and sacrifice for our salvation.  Baptism is a one-time act of obedience, done immediately after repentance of sin and confession of faith in Him, to experience his death, resurrection, the defeating of sin and death over your life, and the power of the Holy Spirit coming upon you.

FUTURE

We believe in the full return of Jesus Christ to this Earth to establish His kingdom here among us with a new Heaven and new Earth.  We believe all believers will be resurrected and we will be in full communion with God seeing Him perfectly. The enemy will be condemned to eternity in Hell, and the ways of sin and death will be forever destroyed and removed from His creation.

OUR RESPONSE

Our response should initially be repentance, confession, and baptism.  After this, we are called to go to all of the nation's proclaiming His kingdom so that others my repent, confess, and believe to bring about the return of His kingdom.

THE GREAT COMMISSION

“16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
